Smoked Eyes Make Up
Create the dramatic eye that looks soft, not scary. Keep away from black eye shadow -- it looks cool in fashion magazines but harsh in real life. Use shades like chocolate brown, deep plum or deep green. Apply color from lashes just up to the crease line. If you go higher will look overdone. Sweep the same shadow beneath your lower lashes, then finish with black or black-brown mascara.
Get Thick Eye Lashes
Start at the root of the lashes, wiggling the brush from left to right as you pull the wand up and out. This curls lashes and provides a lush look in one easy step. Most people apply mascara with quick outward swipes that don't deposit much color. Then they add extra coats, leaving lashes looking spidery.

No-Shine Skin
Start with the right moisturizer and foundation. When apply foundation shake loose powder onto fingers and “wash” it onto skin, first in an upward direction, then down. Finally, should oil breakthrough occur during the day, tap away shine with a tissue or Clinique Oil-Blotting Sheets. That will remove the oil -- not the makeup.
Loose to "Round Face" Look
Know that deep makeup colors make features recede, and lighter shades bring them forward. To sculpt your cheekbones, which will make your face appear less round, use two shades of blush -- one slightly lighter than the other. The light shade should go on the fleshy apple of the cheek, the darker color just beneath the cheekbone itself. Go over both shades with a clean brush to blend the colors to a seamless finish.
